This is a vintage 1950's "Homemaker" style ceramic serving bowl featuring a Japanese-made kitschy kitchen theme.
The interior features hand-painted illustrations of hanging kitchen items, including a skillet, fruit basket, rolling pin, and a wine bottle.
This piece is consistent with Mid-Century Modern (MCM) "Patio" serving ware, often made in Japan during that period.
The pattern is similar to other popular 1950s pictorial tableware designs, such as Alfred Meakin's "Homemaker" or similar "Along the Coast"
Measures approximately 10.5”across top and bottom. 2.5” deep.
This particular bowl is in good usable condition, but does have three chips underneath as seen in photos included. There is also a crack on top that does not go all the way through. The bowl is still usable and also is an attractive display piece from the 1950s.
