Handmade by an 11 year old child.
Vintage WWI Armistice redwork quilt with hand-embroidered patriotic and peace motifs. Features “PEACE ” in the center and “Armistice Nov. 11, 1918 ” stitched near the top, along with eagles, flags, Red Cross imagery, and other commemorative details. Signed “Margaret K. Hollenbach, age 11. ”
This is a beautiful early 1900s commemorative quilt with strong red embroidery on a cream ground. Has been unfinished/has some wear, as shown in the last photo, otherwise in great condition.
Perfect for collectors of antique quilts, redwork embroidery, WWI memorabilia, patriotic decor, and historical textiles.
