Crafted from translucent, fine French porcelain in the sought-after Schleiger 930A pattern, featuring heavily detailed border decorated with soft pink and light green autumn maple leaves. It has an ornate scalloped rim that is accentuated with thick, heavily encrusted brushed gold gilt detailing. The center is a geometric gold filigree ring. The back is dual-stamped with the authentic underglaze green "Haviland France" factory mark (used from 1984-1931) and a crisp, clear red overglaze distributor mark reading: "Haviland & Co. Limoges for P.D.G. Co. Indianapolis, Ind." - showing this piece was custom-manufactured in France as an exclusive luxury offering for the historic Pettis Dry Goods Company department store in downtown Indianapolis.
