History and Rarity
This style of jewelry gained massive popularity during the Art Deco era and continued to be produced through the 1950s and 1960s.
The pieces were highly favored as souvenirs from tropical regions or as striking statement fashion accessories. Today, they are collectible vintage items.
During the Art Deco era through the 1950s, manufacturers like Thomas L. Mott (TLM) frequently paired contrasting themes on either side of these charms:
The "Day and Night" contrast: A bright tropical palm tree scene on one side and a dark, moody pine tree silhouette on the other.
This unique piece, has the "Day and Night" scene (see photos).
