Featuring a smooth body and wings and lightly perched on a rocky-textured base, this translucent figurine is poetry in motion. Made in the 1950s - 1970s when L.E. Smith Glass Company was at the height of their renown for producing animal figurines with this distinctive satin finish. Founded in 1907 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, the company that was named after its founder was a premier American glass manufacturer. Unfortunately, the L.E. Smith Glass Company went out of business in 2004.
Measurements: 9 1/2" tall from tip of wing to base, 6 1/2" wide from tip of wing to tip of beak, 3 7/8" deep edge of base to edge of wing.
