This item is a vintage Korean black lacquered jewelry box with mother-of-pearl inlay, a traditional art form known as Najeonchilgi. The intricate inlay depicts a traditional Korean scene, featuring a house/pagoda, birds (cranes, a symbol of longevity), and foliage. Key Details Origin: Korea. Period: Vintage, likely mid-to-late 20th century. Material: Lacquered wood with iridescent mother-of-pearl (nacre) inlay.
