This item is a vintage Korean black lacquered jewelry box with mother-of-pearl inlay, a traditional art form known as Najeonchilgi. The intricate inlay depicts a traditional Korean scene, featuring a house/pagoda, birds (cranes, a symbol of longevity), and foliage.
