Sometimes I end up with something I just can't identify, and this netsuke style sleeping cat miniature is one of those things. It's very smooth to the touch (a cat worry-stone?) with both a simple form and intricate carved details around the face and ears. There is a touch of pink to the ears and nose, and a hint of blue around the closed eyes - perhaps indicating it's a Siamese. I have no clue from what material it is carved or molded (I lean more toward carved due to the details). Can't find another exactly like it anywhere. So. Cute. And. Tiny.
