BILTONS Vintage 1970s Ironstone 'Celtic Rose' Pattern Quiche/Pie Baker Dish

Vintage mid century modern Biltons ironstone quiche or pie baking dish. Featuring an intricate brown pattern called 'Celtic Rose' on a speckled cream background with a crimped moulded edge. Biltons 'Celtic Rose' was part of the "Stonehaven" tableware range produced in Staffordshire, England and was introduced in 1976. Stamped on the bottom: BILTONS TABLEWARE UNDERGLAZE DETERGENT PROOF IRONSTONE TABLEWARE STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. The dish measures 9" diameter x 1.5" high. Please see the photos for approximate measurements. The black stand in the photos is not included. Biltons was an English company known for producing ironstone tableware. The company, Biltons Ltd., was founded in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, in 1900. They were a mass-producer of tableware from the 1950s onwards and ceased trading in 1999.
