Set of 2 beautiful fine porcelain salad/dessert plates size 8 1/2" diameter. The plates are reproductions of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation collection, these are exact reproductions of original English porcelain produced at Chelsea in London circa 1765. The birds are designed in the workshop of James Giles, a well known ornithologist. These plates were produced in the 1980's for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in Portugal. The edges are scalloped and the porcelain is a beautiful white - very difficult to capture in photographs. The condition of the plates is excellent. They appear to have never been used. These dishes should be hand washed to preserve the color and condition of the painting. Sold as a set of 2.
