The Metropolitan Museum of Art Saint George Egg Ornament, adapted from a silver and enamel Easter egg Firm of Ivan Khlebnikov, Russian 1908-17. The original silver and enamel Easter egg, on which the MMA's St. George in a blue coat mounted on a white horse, slaying a magnificent green dragon against a vibrant orange background. A large flower in pastel colors decorate the back of the egg. Beautiful colors, gold, and sparkles accentuate the egg throughout. The original egg is in the collection of the Hillwood Museum & Gardens. The Museum's adaptation is hand-blown glass, hand-painted. A picture of the original information leaflet is shown, but not included. The original box is not included, but the ornament will be packaged with the upmost care. It is in excellent condition and is truly a work of art and absolutely beautiful and is perfect for a collector or unique gift. Approximately 4.5" height.
