Gidding & Co. had opened its first store in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1904, followed by Cincinnati and New York's Fifth Avenue, according to the 1922 edition of "American Cloak and Suit Review." The Cincinnati store, at 10 and 12 W. Fourth St., opened for business on Oct. 8, 1907.
