Key Identification Features of Indiana Glass:
Tail: Authentic Indiana Hens feature a narrow, flat tail that points straight back from the head. Many other manufacturers, such as Westmoreland or Imperial, produced hens with a "split" or divided tail.
Beaded Edge: beaded rim (often compared to "Candlewick" style) on the base indicates a production date after the 1950s. Earlier versions from the 1930s typically had a smooth, beadless rim on a "stippled" base
.Valve Mark: Look for a circular mold mark, approximately 1.25 inches in diameter, on the top of the hen's back between the head and tail. This "valve mark" is a diagnostic byproduct of the machine-manufacturing process used by Indiana Glass.Size:
Standard Indiana Glass hens of this style are approximately 7 inches long
One chip on beak. Very small. Can hardly notice it. Look at the pictures - you can’t see it
