Bring a touch of celestial history to your home or office with this beautiful armillary sphere. A classic scientific instrument and decorative piece, this model represents the visible universe with the Earth centered within a framework of brass-toned rings. The standout feature of this piece is the illustrated zodiac band, featuring detailed depictions of signs like Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius. At the center sits a small, aged-style world globe, while a large brass-toned arrow pierces through the celestial rings, adding a dramatic flair. The entire assembly is mounted on a sturdy, turned wooden base. The Globe and inner ball are movable Product Details: • Total Height: 13 inches • Sphere Diameter: 9 inches • Base Diameter: 5 1/2 inches • Base Height: Approximately 4 inches • Materials: Wood base and frame, metallic rings and arrow (likely brass or brass-plated), and printed paper illustrations. • Features: • Full Zodiac calendar band with vintage-style illustrations and Latin text. • Inner terrestrial globe with an antique map finish. • Ornate engravings and directional markings (Septentrio, Oriens, etc.) along the outer wooden ring.
