Vintage “Hanako” Japanese Doll with Six Wigs in Original Wooden Box

A gift from my grandfather to my mother when she was a child. A beautiful vintage collectible “Hanako” doll set, complete with six traditional Japanese hairstyles, each representing different stages of life or roles in society. The doll is dressed in a vibrant, multicolored kimono with gold accents and includes her original wooden storage box and lid insert describing each wig style: Momoware, Marumage, Yuiwata, Shitajimage, Shimada, and Tekomae. The box measures approximately 7.5” x 6.5”. Vintage condition with some signs of age wear.
