I made this jacket by repurposing a handmade vintage patchwork quilt with floral and geometric patches. Very cozy!
The quilt had a lot of frayed areas which I mended by adding patches of vintage fabric, on top of the previous pieces. The quilt went through a few rounds of mending before it even got to me. There is still a bit of fraying here and there but the most distressed parts have been repaired.
It's very thick for a quilt of this kind, so it's extra warm and can protect from strong winds.
I'm 5'8 and normally wear large. I'm only wearing a T shirt underneath the coat in these pictures but there is plenty of room for extra layers.
