A classic vintage Southwestern turquoise ring with all the hallmarks of 1970s Native American silversmithing — a generous freeform turquoise cabochon set in a simple bezel with an applied twisted rope surround, mounted on a split shank with squared shoulder plates. The stone is a beautiful, bright blue with dark matrix running through it, and displays excellent natural depth of color.
Unsigned pieces like this one are common in older Southwestern jewelry; the unsigned characteristic, construction style, and aesthetic are consistent with Navajo work of the period.
