@nmashruwala actually I think the XL is the better choice for your 43" hips. Because this fabric is a structured polyester with no stretch, a Large would likely pull tightly across the lap and make the pockets pop out. The XL will allow the dress to hang perfectly straight for that high-end 'tuxedo' look, and it will be much more comfortable when you sit down!
