For your consideration is this large, micro-inlaid bear pendant made of sterling silver, featuring a "galaxy" design. The pendant is crafted from black onyx, and features intricate inlay work using various gemstones such as opals, mother-of-pearl, and other stones to create a celestial scene with stars and planets. The bear's body is split into sections, with the lower half made of a tan, textured stone forming the legs. The upper half depicts architectural structures, resembling pueblos or cliff dwellings, inlaid with small, rectangular pieces of stone. The 8mm bail (the part that attaches to a chain) is also sterling silver and includes a small, triangular piece of blue opal inlay. The overall design is a striking example of Southwestern Native American-inspired craftsmanship, combining traditional bear symbolism with a cosmic theme. Measurements are approximate : 1.97”W x 1.65”L x 18”D. Please note: this listing is for the pendant only but the 5mm desert pearls used to illustrate are available in my listings. This was obtained from a reliable source who frequents Navajo artisans in New Mexico. I love the fact they sign their pieces.
