I believe that this is an antique early 20th Century ceramic serving platter made by the Homer Laughlin China Company. Often identified as the "Hudson" line, introduced around 1908 and discontinued in the late 1920s. It has a floral pattern and a scalloped, embossed edge, highlighted with gold. Many vintage examples of this pattern exhibit "crazing," which are fine cracks in the glaze surface due to age. PLEASE NOTE: It does not have a stamp on the back, but it is my understanding that often antique pieces are not always marked. It has all the other markings that align with Homer Laughlin, including the crackle in the glaze, and the fact that most Homer Laughlin platters were fully glazed over on the bottom, so that is my best guess. It has a SMALL CHIP in one of the edges but it is not very noticeable when on display. It is a really beautiful piece. Display stand is not included.
