Antique wood butter press and paddle. Rustic farmhouse kitchen accent. Simple functional design. From the early 1900s. Used to shape, press and stamp freshly churned butter into solid blocks. Rectangular box with a plunger handle. Possibly cherry wood. Butter paddle used to shape and remove excess buttermilk from freshly churned butter. Ridged/grooved pattern on one side used to drain buttermilk. Other side is smooth. Paddle may be beech wood. Antique, well used condition. Box is 4 1/4” high, 5 1/2” long, 3” deep. 10”. Paddle 3” wide, 10” long.
