Unlocked; just add sim from your phone provider to activate phone functionality Heavy/Glass/White/Shiny/Awesome (there are ways to make this phone get past the start up screen that says 'add sim' if you wanted to use it without a phone service, which is actually possible either way: you would just have to youtube a nerd-wizard with an instructional video on such, to get it to sync to a higher G, which does exist, I checked, then follow the instructions).so it doesnt just have to be a novelty or collectible item but it does make a good one though if thats what youre into)
