Van Gogh’s “Portrait of Dr. Gache” in Mini Cross Stitch Art

This mini cross stitch was hand stitched by me. Its size is 1 5/8” x 1 5/16”, and only a little bigger than a dime. It’s perfect for display framed or unframed. The Portrait of Doctor Gachet is one of the most revered paintings by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. It depicts Dr. Paul Gachet, a homeopathic doctor and artist with whom van Gogh resided following a spell in an asylum at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Gachet took care of Van Gogh during the final months of his life. The portrait was painted in 1890 and it currently resides in the Musee D’Orsay. Note: Frame not included.
