Early 1900s Black and Gold Silk Brocade Coat Designer Helene Pons Studio

Gorgeous gold and black silk brocade opera coat from legendary Broadway costume designer Helene Pons. Fully lined in luxurious black silk. Swingy open style, no closure, with loose kimono-style sleeves with folded pointy cuff, collar and lapel. There are a few spots where some of the gold on the brocade has worn (see pics), but it’s mostly camouflaged as the light shifts. Not consequential when wearing. There’s a tiny pick scratch on the collar, but could be natural irregularity in the silk. Doesn’t detract. This coat is exquisite. Label: Helene Pons Studio New York No size tag.
