RARE Antique Pocket Watch Chain ~ Substantial & heavy at 83g! Unmarked possibly rolled gold. Antique Albert Pocket Watch Chain fabulous wide 'double' curb link chain, Length: 17 & 7/8" long, Width: 3/8" dog clip clasp & button hole T bar are both secure & fully functional, both swivel rose gold metal, no hallmarks so whilst appears & handles like solid rose gold I assume it's rolled gold, filled, plated or similar. Unsigned/unresearched manufacture, the end ring below T Bar is stamped 'gesetzlich geschützt' suggesting it is German or Austrian made. A most impressive & unusual albert chain, I estimate 100+ years old so expect some signs of it's past use, on close inspection some surface wear/color variation, nothing career ending, just authentic signs of history & wear. Fittings are slightly different color than the chain from decades of handling - you can't fake history & character like this! How I wish it could talk & tell us its story. Exact age is undefined fair to say made around 1900 (could be a decade or 2 either way). Complete weight: 83.1g A wonderful watch chain! Price is firm.
