It was often used for decorative items, tableware, and kitchenware due to its resemblance to porcelain and its affordability. Many American companies, including Anchor Hocking, Federal Glass, and Corning (Pyrex), produced milk glass in various colors and styles. These mugs, likely dating from the mid-20th century, represent a common style of glassware from that era. The simple, sturdy design and vibrant colors like orange and butterscotch were characteristic of mid-century modern aesthetics. They were often used for coffee, tea, or hot beverages and are now sought after by collectors for their nostalgic appeal and retro charm.
