Vintage Red Jasper Hand-knotted Beaded Necklace

Red jasper vintage beaded necklace. Strung with a dark brown leather cord. Beads are individually hand knotted to prevent them from rubbing together. Made in the 1970s. Unisex. Red jasper is believed to be a grounding stone for emotional security and endurance. Known as The Supreme Nurturer or Warrior Stone. Native American tribes use it for spiritual protection. Length of the beads is approx 15". 4.62 ounces. The leather cord length can be adjusted. There is one small gold tone ring at the top and I don't know why it is there. The beads are in excellent condition and the cord shows it's age, but it is intact.
