Content is appropriate for both adults and tweens/teens (think PG-13). GROSSE POINTE GIRL is more closely inspired by my own upbringing in a very affluent suburb of Detroit. My second novel, THE GIRL I WANTED TO BE, is not at all ripped from my personal headlines, but inspired by that moment we all have where we stopped seeing things as a kid and clicked into acute awareness of the adult world.
