@m_o_mara The waist is approx. 28” total :) The tag was cut out of these jeans so I would definitely measure your waist all around to make sure they will fit. Sorry if the post was confusing! I put 27 as the size cuz it was my best guess (most of my mother jeans, new and used, are about an inch difference from the tag size).
