Extremely rare, vintage Louis Vuitton Monogram garment bag with side zippers.

This one is for the collectors! Extremely rare, Louis Vuitton Monogram garment bag with double Talon side zippers in an extra long size, 63” x 23”. This is the first I have seen to open on both sides to fully extend open. My guess is it was made for a wedding or evening dress based on the length and ability to fully open. Between the 1970s and 1990s, Louis Vuitton licensed The French Company to manufacture luggage in the United States to meet the high demand. These pieces are distinguished by several unique features including a very specific tag and use of Talon zippers. They were sold at select luxury stores in the United States only, making them very rare and very collectible. This vintage Louis Vuitton Garment Bag absolutely speaks for itself! Zippers are fully functional, no holes or discoloration to the canvas. There are a few spots of slight white lines on the canvas, I have included pictures for review. I have not attempted to clean them. There is wear on the trim, see pictures. This is a beautiful and functional piece of LV history! The inside is in very good condition, no unusual odors/scents nor inner staining. Garment bag does include previous owner’s initials JAJ. I don’t know what it would cost to remove it. Overall this is in good condition with normal scuff wear to the trim as well as the hanging loop. Please review all pictures. Garment bag will be Sold As Is. No returns.
