Rare piece that is in excellent condition!
This is a rare hand painted porcelain bowl made in Prussia (Germany) in the late 1800's or early 1900's by the Reinhold Schlegelmilch Prussia Company. The bowl has the "red mark", which matches descriptions of authentic marks (red star, red outline around green wreath, red RS and Prussia).
The central hand-painted "Cabbage Roses" are in varying shades of pink, white, and yellow. This piece is an "Iris mold" design due to the raised iris floral patterns on the ruffled edges. There is extensive use of gold filigree throughout the design and along the scalloped edge. 10.25" diameter.
No cracks, chips, crazing, or repairs.
