These beautiful earrings were handcrafted by Michael Michaud. They have been retired and replaced by a wire drop version. Below is a description of the collection from the artist’s website: The Pin Oak Collection celebrates the little acorns from which great oaks grow. The acorn is the harbinger of new life. Acorns were used extensively as a food source for Native North Americans, and also roasted as a coffee substitute. It is also important for local wildlife populations. The acorn fruit has been recognized in country medicine for relieving chilblains and frostbite. The Pin Oak earrings feature hand patinated cast bronze leaves and acorn caps. Each acorn is created from hand-cast glass in shades of autumn leaf orange. This pair was originally purchased in New Milford, CT at Robertson Jewelers and is in excellent condition.
