Kodak No. 2A Brownie, Model B.
Manufacturer: Eastman Kodak Company (Rochester, NY).
Production Era: The No. 2A Model B was produced roughly between 1911 and 1924.
Construction: This was a significant upgrade from previous models because it was the first in this line to feature a metal body (aluminum) covered in a synthetic leatherette, whereas earlier models were made of cardboard.
You cannot buy 116 film today. However, photographers often use 116-to-120 adapters. These are plastic spacers you put on a standard roll of 120 film (which is still widely available) to make it fit inside this camera.
Exterior: The camera shows "honest wear." The leatherette covering is peeling at the corners and edges (visible in Image 5), exposing the material underneath. The metal parts have some oxidation/rust, particularly the winding key and latch.
***** Missing Parts: It appears the leather carrying handle is missing from the top; only the two metal posts (lugs) remain.
Interior: Surprisingly, the interior (Image 8) looks relatively clean. The metal film carrier (the part that slides out) seems to be in decent shape, which is good news if you wanted to try to shoot with it.
