Vintage Antique Edwardian Cream Lace & Mauve Pink A-Line Empire Waist Maxi Dress

Vintage antique 1900s 1910s romantic, sophisticated, whimsical maxi dress. Historic piece features a unique, classy, delicate hook and eye wrap closure up the front in an off-center asymmetrical style that extends to the collar, cinching in a high waisted empire waist. Elegant, streamlined, sleek, slim fit yet flowy A-line skirt lies flat across the stomach and bells out at the refined hem. Textured, detailed, frilly intricate lace trim in a soft cream runs across the intentionally uneven collar that drapes across the V-neck or sweetheart neckline and across the back. Monochrome minimalist chic piece features the collar in a pink matching the solid color bodice, although slightly darker, patterned with a subtle understated abstract floral, botanical, or geometric print. 3/4 sleeves add to the timeless feminine silhouette. Fabric is thing, lightweight, airy, breezy, dainty, and fragile, and unfortunately features some distressing in the form of severe staining throughout (see photos). I have not tried to remove any of the stains due to the delicate nature of the garment. Cottagecore, old school, prairie, spring, summer, vibes. No maker's tags. Possibly homemade or handmade. This dress may be designed to be worn with a stay or corset, as the bust and hips are a more average size as compared to the waist and would make sense for the time. Would best fit an XXS/XS.
