lkwiestNo odor. I keep all my bags in their respective bags in a sealed closet. The white stuff was protective liquid. I just went back over and redid and cleaned up and retook pics. I live in the Pacific NW so I protect everything from the elements. If you have further questions don't hesitate to ask. This bag has never been used. Brand new from Hammitt.
