Vintage Ellenco Inc. Electrical Controls Washington DC Mechanical Fire Alarm Pull Station. Marked: Front Plate 416 Top Plate DC30 Interior Plate Private Fire Alarm Station No 512454 This is a vintage mechanical coded fire alarm pull station manufactured by Ellenco Inc. of Washington DC. Unlike later electrical switch-only pull stations, this example contains a spring-driven clockwork gear mechanism. When the pull lever is activated, the internal mechanical assembly engages and runs through a full coded cycle, producing an audible clicking/visible whirring action before stopping. Mechanism cycles smoothly. Not tested in a live alarm circuit. Sold as a collectible display piece only. Condition: • Good vintage condition • Light paint speckling and surface wear consistent with age and building removal • Minor wear to raised lettering • Clear protective cover over mechanism intact • Wiring present and disconnected as shown Heavy cast construction.
