ITEM DETAILS: This is the “Maria Josefina Montoya Romero” American Girl Historical Collection doll originally released in 1997 and purchased in 2004. She is rare and hard to find. She is dressed in the original meet outfit of red and white dress with white knee-length undies, brown soft leather moccasins that lace up and tie in the front, original gold hoop earrings and original braided hair with original flower ornament. She’s really cute, in excellent condition and has been lovingly maintained for over 22 years (never played with – just sat on the shelf) – see photos for her beautiful condition. No box is included. Josefina’s story takes place in New Mexico before the Mexican-American War, while this area was still under Mexican rule (a few years after Mexican independence from Spain). Josefina is the sixth American Girl doll and the first and only Latina Historical Character doll.
