Allen (sometimes styled as FM Allen) was a niche luxury menswear and outfitter brand specializing in safari-inspired clothing, particularly jackets/coats, along with accessories and gear tied to African safari and adventure themes. The brand emphasized high-end, safari-style apparel including classic safari jackets with features like multiple pockets, water-repellent treatments, and practical designs informed by actual bush use (e.g., they removed belts from designs around 2004 because “no one uses the belt in the bush”). The company closed around 2015 making these harder and harder to find in such excellent condition as this example! This is especially true for the larger sizes. This coat has now flaws, or stains.
