Lilliput Lane "Shave and a Haircut" miniature from the American Landmarks Collection by Lilliput Lane Ltd. Handmade in Cumbria UK. 1993. It is a collectible cottage figurine of a barber shop made of ceramic and porcelain materials called amorphite and has a vintage look. The text on the sign reads "CLOSED WED NOON" Look closely for the details like a dog on the porch, mailbox on the side, clematis climbing to the roof and a bird nest in the eve. There's a hidden cat as well. The piece was introduced in 1991 and is now retired. The entire series concluded in 2000. Ray Day is an accomplished sculptor from Indiana known for his work with Lilliput Lane, famous for its detailed miniature collectibles. In 1989 he began creating the American Landmarks Collection featuring 39 pieces of iconic American sites. He continued working for Disney Enesco until 2005. #shelfie Excellent condition.
