Vintage Amita Japan Damascene Lily Flowers Black Gold Tone Pendant

Not only are these unique Japanese flowers but these are executed in the Damascene craft of gold and silver wire work. This floral pendant was made with the intricate work hand done by artisans at AMITA of Japan. The art of Japanese Damascene goes back some 2000 years so you could say they've got it well mastered. The gilt and silver metal with black damascene enamel is etched to create the tiny flowers and large leaves. Measures approximately 1.75 inches in diameter, not including bail. The back is engraved with a flower and is signed AMITA. Light signs of age-related wear as seen. Very good vintage condition. Circa 1950s. Pendant only.
