Antique Northwood carnival glass bowl, approximately 9 inches in diameter, crafted in rich amethyst (purple) glass with strong rainbow iridescence. Features a smooth/plain interior and a beautifully crimped ruffled rim with a darkened edge, showing excellent attention to detail and classic Northwood craftsmanship. Marked on the base with the raised “N” inside a circle, confirming manufacture by Northwood Glass Company. Color note: The bowl appears amethyst (purple) in normal light and glows red when held to light. This is a normal and correct characteristic of early amethyst carnival glass due to manganese content.
