This pattern was made by a number of companies. Furnivals was one of the first European potteries to produce the "Blue Denmark" pattern. The pattern is based on a design produced in Copenhagen, Denmark in the 1770s by Frantz Heinrich Muller. The pattern is thought to originate from China or Japan. Furnivals, England was formed in the 1870s and closed in 1968, name and design rights purchased by Enoch Wedgwood.
