Avon Floralpoint locket

This vintage piece is an Avon Floralpoint Locket Chain Necklace, a popular collectible released by Avon in 1977. The necklace features a round, gold-toned locket with a colorful, hand-stitched needlepoint (often described as petit point or cross-stitch) floral bouquet on a black background. Features: The locket typically measures about 2 inches in diameter and opens to reveal a framed section for a photograph. (This one has a sweet photo already in it) Materials: It is crafted from gold-plated metal and features detailed embroidery. Hangs on a coordinating 30” gold-toned chain. I heard from an Avon representative today that told me all of Avon’s gold jewelry is actually 24K gold plate! I never realized that. This piece is in pretty good condition considering its age. I noticed a tiny section where the fabric is pulling away from the frame not really noticeable but I will add in photos.
