Man made pearls from the Philippines, knotted strand. 19 inch total length. Each pearl measures 15mm. Man made Shell Pearls are factory-made imitation pearls where a bead (often made from ground-up oyster shells) is manually dipped in a "tan" or black coating made of crushed nacre and protective lacquer to produce an imitation pearl.

So sorry I missed the message, they are man made. I was told a thin coating of nacre over a bead.
