VINTAGE 1950s Lambswool Angora Beaded Palm Tree Motiff Cocktail Cardigan Sweater RARE Extraordinary beaded palm tree motif embellished ALL OVER this elegant vintage cardigan. Circa 1950's sold at high end Nieman Marcus and Saks 5th Avenue women's formalwear. This cardigan is particularly charming and valuable due to it's all over beaded bow detailing with waterfall "drops". In the height of the 1950's this sweater was popular with the elite crowd, "Resort-Chic" and typically warn on vacation to Florida or Havana. This piece does not have ANY missing beads or snags. There is no pilling (see underarm picture), fully lined thru bodice with gross grain button hole panel. None of the pearly buttons are loose. The color is a versatile shade of ivory cream. The embellishments are pearly white. The condition is excellent preloved. No missing beads with lining in tact and not ripped. Stored flat with no signs of stretching from the weight of being hung.
