Is this oversized? I’m usually between a medium and large but buy large because I like it over sized. Also is it the shell or insulated?

I’d say it runs large. I included pictures of the measured size. I was a solid large when I wore it last year and it was roomy. It’s a shell as I like to layer. Even so it’s incredibly warm and doesn’t need a lot of layers as it’s a great wind block.
