Ralph Dale Earnhardt Sr., also known as "The Intimidator", was a NASCAR Winston Cup champion and stock car driver from 1975–2001. He was known for his aggressive driving style and was a seven-time Winston Cup champion. Earnhardt was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2006 and the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2010. He died in a crash during the final lap of the 2001 Daytona 500. (google)
