Millworth Converting Corporation Girl with Dog on Skateboard Print Fabric

Millworth Converting Corporation was a textile company, most active in the mid-20th century, known for its highly collectible vintage cotton novelty print fabrics. This vintage textile piece is a fabric panel or pillowcase panel with a whimsical mid-century modern design featuring a girl and her dog on a skateboard. The design showcases a girl in a pink dress and a matching hat with a large orange flower growing from a vase on her head, alongside an orange dog with purple accents riding a green skateboard. The illustration uses bold colors and simple, graphic shapes characteristic of mid-century modern design. These fabric panels were often sold for use in quilting, crafting, or to be sewn into items like pillowcases or kitchen towels. Its fabrics often featured detailed scenic and border prints, some of which are now sought after by collectors. The primary material associated with Millworth Converting Corporation is cotton, often described in listings as excellent quality, sturdy cotton broadcloth or cretonne, which is a heavy cotton similar to coarse linen. Many of the novelty prints were designed as border prints, where the main design runs along one edge of the fabric width, ideal for making full skirts or curtains. This is a vintage item with some staining that I have tried to showcase in the pictures. I have not attempted to clean the fabric. The pattern repeats four (4) times on this panel.
