Vintage XL Barbour black winter chore shovel fleeced quilted vintage coat Bardon

My uncle gave me this coat a few years ago but too small for my husband now. It’s been worn maybe a few months before being stored. Almost no signs of use: some pilling if inner fleece; a few marks on some snaps and zipper pull has a bit of tarnish but all fasteners working well ! Rare in this colour and quality and size Very cozy inner fleece. Black corduroy collar. Zipper and snap so windproof! Good weight to it not like the newer ones Chest is 26” across the outside done up. Fits my friend who’s a 6’1” XL in most things - 24-25” chest, wearing a Kuhl fleece underneath. See photo 32.25 length Snaps at bottom side slits for ease of movement I’m guessing my uncle bought this when he lived in GB before moving here in the 80s but can’t be sure I think it’s maybe the original model that inspired the Liddesdale but it’s called the Bardon As much as I can determine, with help from lovely Lisa 🥰, this coat is from between 1971 (as those are the first digits to appear on the tag) and the 80s.
