It is nice and long with the three stones. Two are oval and a large one is tear drop in shape. They are set into a sterling bezels. It is done in a hard to find smaller size. Larimar was discovered in 1916 by a Spanish priest but no mining was done. In 1974 the American Peace Corps Volunteers rediscovered the stone on the beaches of Barahona. Geologists determined that larimar is a rare form of blue pectolite. The quantity at the mine is unknown, which makes the future supply uncertain.
