The product is a lot of three Bell System Western Electric GTE LINEMAN BUTT PHONES, specifically Lineman's Handset Type: One-Way Handset. Made in the United States by Western Electric, these rotary line testers are essential tools for linemen in the telecommunications industry to test and maintain communication lines. The butts phones provide a reliable means of communication and testing capabilities for ensuring the functionality of the telephone network. This vintage equipment holds historical significance and practical utility in the field of telecommunications. Bell Atlantic and GTE merged in 2000 to form Verizon Communications, combining Bell Atlantic's regional Bell System roots with GTE's independent network, creating one of the largest U.S. telecom companies, which still operates under the Verizon brand today. I know nothing about these testers. I have no idea if they work and I dont know how to test them. They may be good for parts only. I didnt clean them up. Purchased at an estate sale because of my curiosity.
